Personal information processing policy

Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to specify basic matters such as the rights, obligations and responsibilities of users and International Nuclear Energy Expo 2023 (hereinafter "Service") in using user services provided by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum on the Service website (https://inexfornuclear.kr/).

Article 2 (Effect and Change of Terms)
  • These Terms shall take effect for all users of the Service.
  • The content of these Terms shall be posted on the Service page or displayed for users by other means, and the Terms shall apply to users who accept and join the Service.
  • These Terms may be modified where deemed necessary by the Service, and changes shall be promptly announced pursuant to paragraph (2). However, changes to important rules concerning the rights and obligations of users shall be announced at least 7 days in advance.
  • Users who do not accept changes may withdraw from the Service, and those who continue to use the Service shall be seen as having accepted such changes.
Article 3 (Change of Contract Details)

Users shall make changes, if any, to details provided at the time of application using forms and methods prescribed by the Service.

Chapter 2 Service Use Agreement
Article 4 (Establishment of Agreement)
  • Users who click “Yes, I agree” when registering on the website shall be seen as having accepted the terms of use.
  • The Service use agreement is established when user requests are approved.
Article 5 (Application to Use Service)
  • Users can request to use the Service by completing the provided application form.
  • The Service use agreement is established when user requests are approved.
Article 6 (Approval of Application)

User requests are approved for users who complete the application form with accurate information pursuant to Article 5.

Article 7 (Restriction of Service)

User requests to use the Service may be rejected in the following cases.

  • Where the Service cannot be provided due to technical reasons
  • Where the application contains false information, including the use of a pseudonym or another person’s name
  • Where required information is omitted or inaccurate
  • Where the application is made for the purpose of disrupting public order or morals
  • Where user status was revoked pursuant to Article 12 (unless such users are reapplying after 1 year has elapsed from the change in status)
  • Where other conditions specified by the Service are not satisfied
Article 8 (Change of Contract Details)

Users shall make changes, if any, to details provided at the time of application using forms and methods prescribed by the Service.

Chapter 3 Service Use
Article 9 (Start of Service)
  • The Service shall start once user requests are processed and approved by the administrator.
  • Where the Service is unable to start due to technical issues, users shall be notified by an announcement on the website or other means.
Article 10 (Change and Suspension of Service)
  • The Service may make changes by notifying users of changes and effective dates using the method specified in Article 14 (1).
  • Part or all of the Service may be suspended for any of the following cases.
    - Where facilities are undergoing maintenance or construction
    - Where users are disrupting activities involved in providing the Service
    - Where power failure or breakdown of related facilities prevents the normal use of the Service
    - Where the Service cannot be maintained due to certain circumstances
    - Where there are force majeure events, such as natural disasters and national emergency
  • Where the Service is suspended pursuant to paragraph (2), users shall be notified using the method specified in Article 14 (1), unless advance notice is not possible due to circumstances beyond control (disk error or system failure not attributable to the operator’s intent or negligence).
  • The Service shall not bear any responsibility for problems arising from Service changes or termination.
Chapter 4 Obligations of Parties
Article 11 (Obligations of Service)
  • The Service shall not divulge or distribute personal information of users to any third party without consent. However, this shall not apply to procedures prescribed by related laws, including requests from agencies conducting investigations and requests from the Information Communication Ethics Committee.
  • The personal information manager shall oversee the management of Service website users to minimize persons with access to personal information, and bear responsibility for loss, theft, leakage and alteration of personal information.
  • The Service may collect statistics on personal information of users, in part or in whole, without prior consent and within the scope of paragraph (1), and for this purpose, send cookies to users’ computers. In this case, users may change browser settings to block cookies or to ask every time when accepting cookies. Users shall be responsible for any change in Service use due to such settings.
  • The Service shall promptly process user complaints related to the Service. Where prompt action cannot be taken, users shall be notified of the reason for delay and expected processing time via the Service page or e-mail.
  • The Service shall comply with laws related to the operation and maintenance of the Service, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Protection of Communications Secret Act, and Telecommunications Business Act.
Article 12 (Obligations of Users)

Users shall not engage in any of the following when using the Service.

  • Providing false information when requesting to use the Service or changing provided information, using another user’s name and e-mail address.
  • Duplicating or distributing information retrieved through the Service for commercial purposes without authorization.
  • Falsely assuming the identity of staff or operator, or sending e-mails under another name.
  • Other illegal or unjust acts.
Article 13 (Password Management Responsibility)
  • Users shall thoroughly manage their own password.
  • Users shall bear full responsibility for the consequences of negligent management or unjust use of passwords, while the Service shall be liable for issues resulting from causes attributable to the Service, including system failure.
  • Users shall not divulge their password to any third party. They shall notify the Service in the event of password theft or use of password by a third party, and follow instructions provided by the Service, if any.
Article 14 (Notice to Users)
  • The Service may give notice to users using their registered e-mail address.
  • Individual notice may be replaced by posting on the website where giving notice to unspecified, multiple users.
Article 15 (Protection of Users’ Personal Information)

The Service shall exert efforts to protect the personal information of users, including information provided at the time of registration, pursuant to related laws.
Matters concerning the protection of users’ personal information shall be governed by related laws and the Service’s Privacy Policy.

Article 16 (Entrustment of Personal Information)

The Service shall attend to the handling and management of collected personal information (hereinafter “work”) on its own, but may entrust part or all of such work to selected companies.

Chapter 5 Termination and Restriction on Use
Article 17 (Termination and Restriction on Use)
  • Users may terminate the Service use agreement by requesting termination on the website or by other means specified by the Service.
  • The Service may terminate or suspend the Service use agreement without prior notice in the case of users who fail to fulfill their obligations pursuant to Article 12.
  • The Service may restrict users’ right to use services even after agreement signing and password issuance.
  • Users may appeal the actions taken pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of this article by following the given procedures.
  • Where the user appeal pursuant to paragraph (4) is deemed justified, the Service shall immediately lift restrictions on use.
Article 18 (Compensation for Damages)
  • Users shall provide compensation for all damages caused to the Service due to violation of the terms of this agreement.
  • Where the Service faces claims for compensation or legal action from a third party other than users due to illegal acts committed by users in using the Service, such users shall indemnify the Service and cover all related costs. Where the Service cannot be indemnified, such users shall provide compensation for all resulting damages to the Service.
Article 19 (Exemption From Liability)
  • The Service shall not be liable for not being able to provide the Service due to natural disasters or other force majeure events.
  • The Service shall not be liable for issues in the use of Service arising from causes attributable to users.
Chapter 6 Compensation, etc.
Article 18 (Compensation for Damages)
  • Users shall provide compensation for all damages caused to the Service due to violation of the terms of this agreement.
  • Where the Service faces claims for compensation or legal action from a third party other than users due to illegal acts committed by users in using the Service, such users shall indemnify the Service and cover all related costs. Where the Service cannot be indemnified, such users shall provide compensation for all resulting damages to the Service.
Article 19 (Exemption From Liability)
  • The Service shall not be liable for not being able to provide the Service due to natural disasters or other force majeure events.
  • The Service shall not be liable for issues in the use of Service arising from causes attributable to users.
Addendum

(Enforcement Date) These terms shall enter into force on 03/06/2023.
